A Very Nice Long Samurai Mounted Katana By 1st Generation Yokoyama Sukekane
A nicly mounted Katana by 1st generation Bizen Osafune Ju Yokoyama Sukekane Saku. This sword has papers by the NTHK NPO branch. It was obviously a custom ordered blade as its not in the typical choji hamon but is made in the Yamashiro Rai tradition. It has a suguha hamon and beautiful tight itame hada amd light utsuri. The blades has a cutting edge that is 71.5 CM long. The nakago is signed: Bizen Osafune Ju Yokoyama Sukekane Saku and dated and inscribed: Keio 2 Nen 2 Gatsu (February of 1866) Hi Tomonari 58 Dai Mago (58th generation of Tomonari).
